A snapshot of recorded Robinhood Chain launch activity
A September 8, 2026 query of our Robinhood Chain recorder returned 25,448 launch rows. Retained trade timestamps covered 25 August to 8 September 2026. These records come from supported launch and pool detectors; they are not a verified census of every launch or trade on the chain.
Correction, September 8, 2026: An earlier version called short recorded trade spans token deaths and inferred near-total losses. Those conclusions were unsupported. Tracking and retention limits can end the record while a token still has a market. The figures below describe retained records only.

The counts have different denominators
The query counted launch rows and trade addresses separately. It did not join the tables to verify that the same addresses belonged to both groups. We therefore cannot interpret the difference as the share of launches that never traded. The span calculation also excludes addresses with zero or one retained trade.
A recorded span is not a token lifetime
For each address with at least two prints, the query subtracted its first retained trade timestamp from its last. Ordinary tracking can end after an hour; longer tracking depends on activity, value, graduation and other conditions. Retention and recording gaps can also remove trades. A short span may reflect those limits rather than a market disappearing.
A check limited to first prints at least two days before the data cutoff did not establish continuous observation for those tokens. It cannot resolve tracking cutoffs or establish what happened after the recording ended. We do not report a token survival rate or a rate of total loss from these records.
Recorded peaks in a selected price subset
For 7,123 addresses with at least five positive market-cap prints, the query divided the highest recorded market cap by the first retained positive one:

These retrospective ratios describe a selected subset, not the chance that a new launch will reach the same multiple. A recorded peak does not establish that a position could have been bought at the first print or sold at the peak. It is not an investor's return.
What this means if you are buying
- Check the observation window. Missing prints may mean tracking ended. They do not establish permanent inactivity, loss of liquidity or a worthless balance.
- Peak is not proceeds. Judge a token by what you could sell into, not by the last printed price. Check that a sell route exists before you buy, not after.
- Keep peaks separate from outcomes. The median recorded peak ratio is not a median investment outcome. Fees, price impact, failed transactions and exit availability matter.
How we measured it
The September 8 query counted the launch table and distinct trade addresses separately. It grouped retained trades by address to calculate first-to-last timestamp spans, requiring at least two trades. Peak ratios required at least five positive market-cap prints. The table preserves that query's reported counts and rounded figures; it is not a fresh count from the changing database.
The recorder covers supported pool and launch detectors on one chain, with finite tracking and retention. The query did not reconcile chain-wide coverage, known recording exclusions or per-token observation intervals. No executable quotes, transaction receipts or realized returns were included. A reproducible survival study would need a fixed verified cohort and explicit treatment of missing observations and tracking cutoffs before drawing conclusions about token lifetimes.
Common questions
- Do most meme coins go to zero?
- This dataset cannot answer that. A missing trade in our recorder does not prove a token is worthless or unsellable. Establishing losses requires separate evidence about holdings, liquidity and executable exits.
- What percentage of meme coins do 10x?
- In the selected subset of 7,123 addresses with at least five positive market-cap prints, 12.3% had a recorded peak ratio of at least 10x from their first retained positive print. This is not a rate for all launches or an executable investment return.
- How long does a meme coin last?
- We cannot infer token lifetimes from this recorder. Its observation and retention limits can shorten the recorded span between a token's first and last trade.
