Route Safety

Swap and Bridge Preflight Checks

Before you sign a meme-coin swap or cross-chain route, confirm what token, route, price, and transaction your wallet will actually receive.

Start with the exact token on each chain

Verify contract addresses separately

A token name or ticker can be reused by unrelated contracts. Check the official address on the source chain and the destination-chain asset separately through a trusted project source and the relevant explorer. Confirm token decimals too: different chains can display equivalent assets with different precision.

Review the route before signing

Liquidity, price impact, and slippage

Use a small test when the route is unfamiliar

Confirm the destination result

For a bridge or token you have not used on that route, a small transaction can reveal whether the destination asset, decimals, claim process, and gas requirements match the quote. Keep enough of the destination chain’s gas token to complete any required claim or follow-up transaction.

Check what your wallet is being asked to do

Approvals and simulation

Read every wallet prompt. Confirm the spender, allowance, chain, amount, and recipient. If your wallet or a transaction-simulation tool shows an action you do not expect, cancel it. A simulation can help review a proposed transaction; it is not a guarantee that conditions will remain unchanged at execution.

Risk disclosure: Meme coins are highly speculative and can lose all value. Swaps and bridges add risks including volatility, low liquidity, smart-contract vulnerabilities, failed or delayed routes, chain events, fees, phishing, and user error. MemeSwap is a non-custodial discovery and swap interface operated by Agentic Labs LLC; it does not custody assets or provide investment, legal, or tax advice. Every transaction requires your explicit wallet signature.
