Designated agent

Agent not yet set. MemeSwap has not yet registered a designated agent with the United States Copyright Office. Use the form below in the meantime. Your notice is recorded, it starts our clock, and we act on it exactly as we would once the agent is registered.

What happens after you send a notice

1. You get a reference number straight away.
2. We aim to act within 72 hours.
3. If we remove the video, we tell the person who posted it, and we tell them they can send a counter-notice.
4. If they send one, we tell you. Under United States law the video can go back up after 10 business days unless you tell us you have gone to court.

If your video was removed by mistake

Send a counter-notice by filling in the same form and writing "counter-notice" as the first word of the description. Say why you believe the removal was a mistake. A counter-notice is a legal document and a false one has consequences, so be accurate.

Repeat infringers

We end the accounts of people who repeatedly post other people's work without permission. In practice: a valid copyright notice against you is a strike, three active strikes suspends your account for 30 days, four for 90 days, and five ends it. Strikes expire, and you can appeal any of them in the app. This policy is a legal condition of the protection we rely on, and we apply it.
